IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd. Wins the CNBC TV 18 Essar Steel Infrastructure Excellence Award in the Highways & Flyovers category for Mumbai-Pune section of NH-4.

This award is in recognition of the high quality work implemented on the development and maintenance of the Mumbai-Pune section of NH-4.

Shri. Virendra D. Mhaiskar, Chairman & Managing Director of the group, received the award on behalf of the company in an event held in New Delhi on 25th March 2009.

The award was presented by Shri Kirit Parekh, Member of Planning Commission and Shri S.S. Kholi, Chairman & Managing Director of IIFCL

IRB has emerged as the preferred bidder for a BOT project comprising Design, Build, Finance and Operation of Six-laning of Tumkur Chitradurga Section of NH-4 from Km 75.00 to Km 189.00 in the State of Karanataka under NHDP Phase V on BOT basis. The estimated cost of the Project is approx. Rs. 1200 crores. The project length is 114 Kms. The Project is on Premium basis with concession period of 26 years.
