In August 25 2003, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MORTH) and AIPL (ATR Infrastructure Private Limited) (a Concessionaire), an SPV of IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd., entered into a Concession Agreement to develop, operate and maintain the Pune Nashik section of NH50 Project. The concession period of the Project is 18 years from the Appointed Date. The Concessionaire is allowed to collect the notified user fee from the road users during this period.

ATRPL was entrusted to expand a 29.81 km section of NH 50 between Pune and Nashik in Maharashtra from two lanes to four lanes.

The Pune and Nashik Project comprise the section of NH 9 from km 12.19 to km 42.00.

The Project Features

Corridor Description

The Project Stretch of NH-50 passes through the districts of Pune, Ahmednagar and Nashik in the state of Maharashtra. The Golden triangle of Mumbai-Pune-Nashik is identified as a future hub of development.

The Pune โ€“ Nashik section of NH-50 mainly caters to the long distance traffic having major contribution of trailers/ containers along with passenger traffic visiting various pilgrimages centers near Pune & Nashik.

Important cities and towns enroute are Khed, Manchar, Sangamner and Sinner.
