The Project Features

Corridor Description

NH 4 is a four- to six-lane National highway in India.

It connects Mumbai and Chennai via Pune, Kolhapur and Belgaum and intersects NH 9 at Pune, NH 4A at Belgaum, NH 63 and NH 218 at Dharwad, NH 13 at Chitradurga, NH 206 at Tumkur, NH 48 and NH 207 at Nelamangala.

NH 4 passes through three states, namely, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Between Thane and Chennai, it connects major urban centres and state capitals, such as Thane, Pune, Kolhapur, Belgaum, Dharwad, Hubli, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Bangalore and Chennai.

The Tumkur–Chitradurga NH 4 Project caters to various types of traffic, including urban, suburban and regional traffic.
