In February 20 2003, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MORTH) and ATRPL (Aryan Toll Road Private Limited) (a Concessionaire), an SPV of IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd., entered into a Concession Agreement to develop, operate and maintain the Pune Solapur section of NH9 Project. The concession period of the Project is 16 years from the Appointed Date. The Concessionaire is allowed to collect the notified user fee from the road users during this period.

ATRPL was entrusted to expand a 26.00 km section of NH 9 between Pune and Solapur in Maharashtra from two lanes to four lanes.

The Pune and Solpaur Project comprises the section of NH 9 from km 14.00 to km 40.00.

The Project Features

Corridor Description

It runs along the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It starts at Pune and ends at Machilipatnam. A very busy road corridor, part of the Mumbai Hyderabad arm.

Major cities and towns on the route are Pune, Solapur, Umarga, Hyderabad, Suryapet, Kodad, Nandigama, Vijayawada, Vuyyuru and Machilipatnam.
