  • Greenfield Airport on PPP model, in the Sindhudurg District of Maharashtra

In year 2008, The Government of Maharashtra had proposed and approved to develope a Greenfield Airport on PPP model, in the Sindhudurg District of Maharashtra.

The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) was appointed as the Nodal Agency to overlook the development work of the Airport.

Subsequently, in year 2009, IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited (IRB) was selected as the concessionaire for development of project on Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) basis through competitive bidding process.

IRB Sindhudurg Airport Pvt Ltd. is an SPV was formed and entrusted the project development and operations.

To bring in the dream project in reality, the Company has joined hands with the leading experts in the sector, such as, STUP Consultants Pvt. Ltd.; Feedback Infrastructure Services Pvt. Ltd.; Egis India Private Ltd.; Ultratech Environmental Consultancy & Laboratory; Larsen & Toubro Ltd; Honeywell Automation India Ltd.; Indian Oil Corporation; etc.

The project development work has been commenced and expected to complete in FY 2017 – 2018.
